My Favourite Products

What can I say, I am a bit of a skincare addict - I'm not bothered by shoes, clothes, jewellery, but if you set me in-front of a wellness or skincare brand I'm instantly intrigued. The problem is there are so many good ones out there now, so its so hard to stick to just one brand and to not be tempted to try everything.

I have always been into trying new brands, new magic creams and oils that wont make my skin react by breaking out, however I have made it a goal to simplify my skincare and beauty routine by not holding onto a bizillion bottles of products I don't need or barely use. I have done pretty well with this goal while in lockdown and have narrowed a bit of my list of favourites down with the exception of a few products that I still need, so here you have it, my favourite products at the moment (Autumn 2023).

Face Wash

Farmacy Green Clean - Cleansing Balm - Farmacy is based on a farm to face concept which I love. Plus I am a big fan of cleansing balms especially with my drier skin. This green balm melts away beautifully into the skin removing makeup and debris. I double cleanse if I am wearing makeup just to make sure no traces of makeup are left. With a balm I always wipe really well after words to make sure it doesn't leave the skin with any greasy residue - although a bit of hydration can be nice.

Free of Parabens, Formaldehyde donor, Synthetic Fragrances, Phylates, Mineral oil and Cruelty Free.

Bybi Milk Melt Vegan Oat Milk Cleanser - I also like this gentle milky cleanser by Bybi because it cleanses the skin without stripping it and I find the oat is quite calming for the skin. I usually double cleanse with this cleanser and the Farmacy cleansing balm. Leaves the skin gorgeous and hydrated.

Fragrance Free, Vegan, Cruelty free

Exfoliates

Tropic Skincare Face Smooth Brightening Polish - I am usually a fan of acid exfoliants because they tend to be more gentle, however I tried this face polish a few months ago and really liked it. It smell so lovely and definitely feels like it gets all of the dead skin cells off of my face. I wouldn't recommend it for sensitive skin types as it might be too abrasive. It leaves a light layer of hydration on the skin but sometimes it feels heavy so I just wipe it off with a face cloth and all is well.

Face Oils and Serums

Balance Me Rose Otto Face Oil- This face oil is gorgeous! This is a lightweight but extremely hydrating fave oil that my skin just loves. I helps my tight dry skin come to life again. A little goes a long way and it sit lovely under moisturiser/sunscreen. I am not usually a fan of rose scented products however I don't mind this one - even though it certainly smells like roses and may put some off, I find I don't notice the scent once its on. Its great for dry and sensitive skin.

Free of Silcones, Sulphates, Parabens, Phythalates, Petrolatum, Propylene Glycol, Mineral Oil, Synthetic Fragrance, Synthetic Colours, DEA, MIT, TEA, CMIT, PEGS + its vegan and cruelty free

Face Moisturiser

Bybi C-Caf Cream- This face cream is a double vitamin C formula which is great for brightening the skin as well as helping with scars and hyperpigmentation - which I have a lot of after pregnancy! It also has caffeine that helps with that morning puffiness, as well as Match green tea extract which is a great antioxidant that helps repair the skin from environmental pollutants. The one thing I don't love about this cream is the consistency, it is creamy but take a little bit of working into the skin as it goes on white but once absorbed its lovely. I find putting it over the face oil it settles better into the skin.

Cruelty Free, Vegan, Carbon-Neutral

Upcircle Face Moisturiser- This very popular face cream is packed with vitamin E, aloe vera and cocoa butter making it a lovely hydrating texture. It has a lovely orange scent and a little goes along ways. I find it is just a nice hydrating cream with no nasties. I use it when I just need that extra boost of hydration.

!00 per cent vegan, cruelty-free, dermatologically approved and UK-made

Masks

Mermaid Mask by LEAHLANI - This mask is amazing, its packed with superfoods and raw honey which makes for a great nourishing, yet purifying mask. You will be tempted to eat it because it smells so good, the only negative is it can be very sticky and gloopy, but its worth the mess.

Caudalie Instant Detox Mask - This masks removes dead skin and pulls out impurities while brightening with papaya enzymes. A great go to for a glowing complexion.

Sukin Detoxifying Facial Masque - I got this super green mask while in Australia and I loved using it every week to keep my skin clean and glowing.

Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask - Is my go to for dry, dehydrated skin that needs a surge of moisturiser without heaviness that some oils and moisturisers can leave. I used it on the plane when travelling, under my eyes when I need a pick me up and at night before bed.

Body Care

Native Deodorant in Coconut & Vanilla or Cucumber & Mint - best natural deodorant I have used, smells delicious too!

Egyptian Magic all purpose skin cream is great for deep hydration for the feet or hands, I use it as an overnight mask for them. Can be used for any dry areas of skin on the body, lips and the hair.

Other

Tropic - Sundrops - Are great for the summer time or whenever you need a little added glow. These natural tanning drops can be added to your face moisturiser to build a gradual tan.

Balance Me Gradual Tanning Drops - Another great tanning oil that gives a lovely sunkissed glow - and a little goes a long ways

Nailberry - Beautiful toxic-free nail polish

Truthbrush - Bamboo toothbrush is stylish, award winning and can come in a great case to travel with.

Amour Natural - Essential Oils - currently loving their Eucalyptus oil

Tisserand - Essential Oils - currently loving their lemon, lavender and peppermint oil - the peppermint oil helped me so much during my morning sickness by helping with my nausea.

Neals Yard - Essential oil in Women's Balance - its so lovely and calming!

Makeup

Makeup is a difficult one for me as I haven't found products for all my needs that are chemical free and work. I found some things for the face that are from great natural and clean brands but still need to keep trying until I have a makeup bag I love for how they look, feel and have clean ingredients. I have found that the older I get the more I am getting into wearing makeup, so I want them to be as natural as possible if I am planning on wearing them daily. This is what I am using at the moment but I am still on the look out for cleaner brands.

Bare Minerals - SPF15 Foundation - I find this powder foundation works great with my skin in the summer months and leaves a smooth, pore-less coverage

Kosas Revealer Super Creamy + Brightening Concealer - This medium coverage concealer is great for hydrating while offering a bit of coverage for under eyes and spots. Its packed with skin brightening ingredients and hyaluronic acid to help with fine lines.

Ilia Limitless Lash Mascara - I struggle with mascaras and find most irritate my eyes. This one works well for me and hasn't caused irritation. Its an award winning natural mascara that is build-able and flake-free. I leave it a second to dry then I'm good to go.

Rare Beauty Worth Liquid Blush - This liquid blush is a tad to dark for me now that I don't have a tan, but a little bit goes a long way and adds great flushed colour to cheeks.

Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eyeshadow - In intense moonlight and Sienna. These are great for when your in a rush as they just rub on and go! These both have a great shimmer colour to them.

Burt's Bees Original Lip Balm - I have been using this for years! My go to always and I like their lipsticks as well.
